Newlyweds, Puppies, Weddings... Oh my!

Well, we had quite the busy weekend!

Friday we hung out with our good friends Merek and Krisina Smith. They are also newlyweds and we got to swap stories and talk about how life is after "the hitch." We both agree, since we were both couples that were living together before marriage, that there is just not a lot that has changed. Does that make us bad newlyweds? I hope not.

It was a ton of fun and like Brandon, Merek is the cook in the family and he made us some delicious chicken and potatoes! Oh my, they were good! And I don't even like chicken! :P

Our doggies, two little girls, got to play together for the first time, as well. It was intereting to see who was going to come out the Alpha Female dog. Katara likes to herd other dogs, because it's in her breed, and she bosses them around a lot. So, we were interested to see how she did with a dog that is younger than her. Penny, Merek and Krisina's dog, is three months younger than Katara, and quite the ball of energy. I would have to say that Penny gave Katara a run for her money. Penny chased her around for hours, no matter how hard Katara tried to overtake her! And in the end it was Katara who flopped to the floor first, tired and exhausted from running in circles. They were absolutely adorable together! And we are so happy they get a long so that we can have another newlywed/puppy party. :) We love these newlyweds to death!

Saturday was a wedding! Oh how I love weddings! We went to Brandon's cousins wedding, Tyler Clark to Tori Andreason. It was a lovely small wedding at Lone Peak Park in the pavilion. She had done an immense job at some of her own DIY decorations and the cake was to die for. I enjoyed spending time with Brandon's family, his Mum's side. They are all hoots to be around and all in all it was enjoyable.

Their fabulous cake purchased by Tyler's loving grandparents. It's tradition for the grandparents to pay for the cake in the Clark family. They paid for our beautiful cake, as well.

Me and Nonni, Brandon and Tyler's grandma. She is one of the most fabulous people I know.
